Queensland Association for Healthy Communities

Welcome to the Queensland Association for Healthy Communities (QAHC - pronounced 'quack').

Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Queenslanders.  We are a not-for-profit, community based organisation, funded by government grants and community fundraising, donations and sponsorships.

Use the links along the top of the page to check out LGBT and HIV news from around Australia, LGBT events across the state, find an LGBT service or group, take part in an on-line discussion or read and/or subscribe to QAHC's various newsletters.

Menus along the left of the page will take you to information and resources on QAHC's main areas of activity - LGBT Health, Sexual Health, Indigenous Health and Capacity Development.  You can also find out how to get involved in QAHC (e.g. volunteer, make a donation), find out more about the organisation (e.g. strategy, plans, reports) and contact our offices and programs.

We welcome your feedback on this site and the work of QAHC.  Please visit us again as the site is constantly updated.
