This page contains information about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) social groups and different ways LGBT people can volunteer in Brisbane. It has been designed to start you off in your search for new and fun ways to make new friends, increase your social circle, get support from others like you and learn new skills and give back to your community through volunteering.

The Disclaimer
The Queensland Association for Healthy Communities (QAHC) has tried to make sure the information found in this part of the website is as accurate as possible at the time of creation. However, social groups and organisations are constantly growing and evolving into new bodies. Sometimes people involved in groups may move on, and groups close, go on haitus, or change the type of activity they do.

For that reason we ask that all people bear this in mind when contacting groups, and be understanding if the person you speak with is no longer affilated with the group, or cannot otherwise help you with your enquiry.

Why is it important to have social contact?
