QAHC develops and/or distributes sexual health promotion campaigns for gay and other men who have sex with men. Below are our latest campaigns & resources, and an archive of previous initiatives.
SEROSORTING (Real Time)
The campaign focuses on risk taking by gay men who have adopted 'serosorting' as a strategy to reduce the risk of HIV transmission. 'Serosorting' is the term used to refer to choosing partners of the same HIV status for the purpose of having unprotected anal intercourse. The posters ask readers to reflect on recent and potential future sexual encounters in which they might be considering unprotected sex based on assumed seroconcordance. The booklet, Real Time, is designed to assist men in making positive behaviour changes by working through the perceived benefits and costs of unsafe sex.
